Optional Day Trip

I am offering the following escorted day trip from Florence.
The trip will require at least 5 participants from the group.

Venice - $125 per person
We take a morning train to Venice arriving before lunchtime.  Everyone should see Venice at least once but the more you see it, the more you discover its unique charms.  A trip down the grand canal on a vaporetto (water bus) is included as we begin our day wandering around this floating city.  Shopping, sightseeing and dining is delightful in Europe's only pedestrian city as we walk through its winding streets and cross its many footbridges. In early evening we find our way back to the train station for our comfortable train ride back home to Florence.
It will be a day to remember for many years to come!

What About Rome & Other Places
I no longer escort travelers on day trips to Rome, however I will be happy to assist you with
purchasing a train ticket from Florence (one and a half hour trip) and advise you about how to
use the hop-on-hop-off bus tours there.  We can also set you up with a local tour guide in
Rome if you prefer.  These options are easily managed and my travelers have had
no problem doing it on their own.  Some have traveled to Rome to stay
a couple of days after joining me in Florence.
If there are other towns or cities you would like to visit on your own, I will work with you to
meet a tour guide or purchase train tickets and advise you.  Some possibilities might be
Assisi, Cortona, Bologna, Cinque Terre Villages, Milan - all these can be done in a day.
